Studio Archive Vases

from $250.00

These are the rare shapes from our studio archive — prototypes we kept reaching for, experiments that turned out too good to sit on a shelf indefinitely, and one-off forms that earned a permanent spot on the studio windowsill. Each one was individually hand-thrown in our East Providence, Rhode Island studio by Myrth co-founder Abby Smallwood, and we have just a few of each.

Currently available forms:

Sage Vase: Takes its name from the wise owl — its rounded, broad-shouldered form reminded us of an owl perched and watchful. That narrow opening pinches stems in at the base and lets them flare out dramatically above. Perfect for bold, structural flowers like protea, pincushions, or anything with strong lines. Approximately 8"H. 2 available.

Meridian Vase: Features our signature double-rim construction — the inner rim sits recessed so stems appear to float away from the outer edge. Designed for tall upright flowers like dahlias and foxglove. 2 available.

New forms will rotate through this listing as they leave the studio. If something speaks to you, it won't be here long.

  • Hand-thrown by Myrth co-founder Abby Smallwood, limited quantities of each form

  • Available in Moonlight and Verdigris glazes

  • Shapes rotate as inventory sells through

  • Proprietary porcelain clay body with food-safe glaze

  • Dimensions approximate — each piece is individually hand-thrown, making subtle variations part of the charm

  • Meridian - 8.5-9"H x 4.75"W | Opening: 2.75"W — 2 available

  • Sage - 8"H x 4.5-5"W | Opening: 2.5-3"W — 2 available

  • The Pilar Vase is made from the same proprietary porcelain clay body as our tableware — the same material trusted by restaurant kitchens for daily use. Chip-resistant and crack-resistant, with lead-free glazes that hold their depth and color for years. A piece you buy once.

  • Our vase palette features glazes developed in-house, available in colors that complement any interior. Each piece is unique — subtle variations in glaze depth and texture are a natural result of the hand-crafting process.

  • Rinse with warm water. For a thorough clean, hand wash with mild dish soap — no dishwasher needed for a vase. To remove any mineral deposits from water, a soft cloth and a small amount of white vinegar works well.

  • Our clay and glazes are formulated entirely in-house using standard ceramic minerals — never lead or cadmium. The same materials and process used for our dinnerware trusted by professional kitchens.
