Twelve inches of surface for starters, cheese, canapés, and the side dishes that circle a main. The oval breaks up a table of round dishes and gives more usable room than a round platter of the same footprint. Pair it with a Tasting Bowl for dips and spreads, or use it on a weeknight for whatever came out of the oven.

Eight inches and thirty-two ounces, built for the meals that repeat: pasta, ramen, grain bowls, salads. The flat bottom makes it easy to cut into whatever is in it. The curved sides keep broth and sauce where they belong. It holds a generous portion without taking over the table.
