Terms + Conditions
Welcome to Myrth. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website (the "Site") and all sales of products by Myrth. Our studio is located in Rumford, Rhode Island, and all products are designed and produced by Abigail & Eric Smallwood.
By accessing our Site and/or purchasing products from us, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Our Products & Handmade Disclaime
All Myrth products are handmade. Products available on our webshop are made to specific dimensions, but due to their handmade nature, slight variations in proportion, form, and glaze application are to be expected from piece to piece.
It is our intention that each piece purchased be the closest possible representation of the product photographed. By purchasing from Myrth, you acknowledge and accept the inherent, unique variations of handmade goods.
2. Orders & Lead Times
2.1. Product Status
Products are classified as "In-Stock" or "Made to Order (MTO)." This classification is noted in bold in each product's description.
In-Stock: Items are ready to ship.
Made to Order (MTO): Items will be custom-made for you upon purchase.
2.2. Processing & Lead Times
In-Stock items will be packaged and shipped within 7 business days of purchase.
Made to Order (MTO) items will ship according to the lead time noted in the product's description.
2.3. Combined Shipments
When MTO products are purchased with In-Stock items in a single order, we will hold the In-Stock items and ship all products together upon completion of the MTO products.
If you require your In-Stock items to be shipped separately and immediately, please contact us at hello@myrth.us. Additional shipping fees may apply.
3. Shipping Policy
3.1. Domestic Shipping
Myrth provides domestic shipping within the United States via UPS Ground. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has left our studio.
Expedited Shipping: Please contact us at hello@myrth.us before placing your order if you require a different or faster UPS shipping service.
3.2. Signature Requirement
Orders under $500 are shipped via UPS without a signature required upon delivery.
Orders exceeding $500 may, at our discretion, require a signature for delivery.
3.3. Shipping Address Requirements
We require a detailed physical address and phone number for delivery. We cannot ship to PO Boxes.
3.4. International Shipping
We are based in the United States and primarily ship domestically. For all international shipping inquiries, please contact us at hello@myrth.us before placing an order to discuss options and receive a quote.
4. Returned & Undeliverable Shipments
Shipments returned to Myrth due to an incorrect address, recipient refusal, or failure to claim at a UPS access point will be handled as follows:
Refund: The order will be refunded minus a 30% restocking fee and the original shipping costs.
Reshipment: The customer must pay a new repacking and delivery fee (covering packing labor and courier expenses). This fee will be invoiced and must be paid in full prior to reshipment.
5. Local Studio Pickup
5.1. Availability
We offer local "Shop Pick-up" for all online orders at our studio in Rumford, RI. By selecting this option, you are requesting to collect your items in person.
5.2. Pickup Notification & Window
You will receive a fulfillment email when your order is ready for pickup, which will include visiting instructions.
All orders must be claimed within 14 calendar days after the fulfillment email is sent.
5.3. Abandoned Orders
Items not picked up within the 14-day window may be considered abandoned. Myrth reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a refund for the purchase amount, minus a 20% restocking fee. If you are unable to pick up your order within 14 days, please email us immediately to determine the best delivery option.
5.4. Liability
Once an item has been collected by you or your representative, Myrth is not responsible for any damage incurred during its transport to its final destination.
6. Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations
6.1. Final Sale Items
Please note the following product types are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange:
All Made to Order (MTO) products
Sale or discounted items
Items purchased with a discount code
Trade orders
Custom orders
Fundraiser products
Giveaway items
Wholesale products
Second quality / Sample sale items
Consumable food items
Candles
6.2. Return & Exchange Policy (In-Stock Items)
We accept returns or exchanges for eligible In-Stock items only, subject to the following conditions:
Window: You must contact us within 5 days of the in-store purchase date or 5 days of the UPS delivery date for online orders.
Condition: Items must be returned to our studio in their original, unused, and perfect condition.
Refunds: For returns, we will issue a refund for the product value, minus the original shipping service costs, after the item is received and inspected at our studio.
Exchanges: We can exchange your item for another In-Stock item. We do not refund shipping service fees for exchanges.
Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
6.3. Gift Returns
If you received an item as a gift, it may be exchanged for an In-Stock item or for Myrth store credit, provided it is returned to us in perfect condition.
If the exchange results in a difference in value, the remaining value will be issued via store credit.
Store credit will only be issued after the item has been returned and inspected.
6.4. Cancellations
We can cancel an order and issue a full refund only if the order has not yet been shipped.
Once an order has been processed and shipped, it cannot be cancelled or modified in any way (including shipping address, products, or quantities).
7. Damaged Items
7.1. Refusing Delivery
At the time of delivery, should you notice excessive damage to the exterior of the package or hear a sound suggesting broken contents, we recommend that you refuse the package from UPS. It will be returned to us for assessment.
7.2. Reporting Damage
It is the recipient's duty to inspect all items and report any damage upon delivery.
All damage claims must be emailed to hello@myrth.us within 2 calendar days of delivery or in-store pick-up.
7.3. Claim Procedure
If an item is damaged during shipping, please keep all packaging and the damaged item(s). Email us immediately with the following:
Photographs of the damaged item.
Photographs of all packaging (interior and exterior).
A full written description of the damage.
7.4. Resolution
After Myrth reviews and confirms the shipping damage based on the terms above, we will ship a replacement product to you and process any necessary shipping claims with UPS.
7.5. Damaged Gifts
Shipped Direct: If a gift item was shipped directly from Myrth to the recipient, the recipient must follow the claim procedure (Section 7.3) within the 2-day window.
Gifted in Person: If the item was purchased by someone and then gifted to you in person, it is the purchaser's responsibility to inspect the item and report any damage to Myrth before delivering it to the gift recipient. We cannot refund or replace items that were damaged after the initial purchase and delivery.

Governing Law: These Terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island.
Right to Modify: Myrth reserves the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting updates to our website.
