Ume Studio Edition: Bowls

from $40.00

Ume is our spring seasonal glaze, available through the end of July. A luminous pale chartreuse that sits right at the edge of yellow — the color of fresh-picked nanko-ume as they ripen. Named for the Japanese plum, made to order in our East Providence, Rhode Island studio. When the season ends, Ume retires. No restocks.

Three bowls, each built for a different kind of meal. Select your piece from the dropdown.

The Tasting Bowl is our smallest bowl at 6 inches. Right for cereal, warming soups, ice cream, or a smaller tasting portion. Pairs beautifully with our Oval Platters as a dipping bowl for entertaining.

The Helping Bowl is the one most people reach for every night. At 8 inches and 32oz, it's built for ramen, pasta, and grain bowls. Its flat bottom makes it easy to cut solid foods while the curved sides scoop cleanly.

The Basso Bowl is a chef favorite: a 9-inch shallow bowl-plate hybrid for pasta, risotto, and anything saucy. Its wide, flat base gives you ample plating surface while the gently curved walls keep sauces right where you want them.

Ume pairs especially well with Canyon and Verdigris from our permanent collection. Canyon's warm terracotta creates a striking contrast against Ume's cool fruit tone. Verdigris is its quieter companion, two greens that feel related rather than matched.

Made to order, ships in approximately 3 to 4 weeks.

  • Every Myrth piece is crafted from proprietary clay and glaze recipes developed in-house. Our dense, low-expansion porcelain retains heat longer than standard ceramics — food stays warmer from kitchen to table. Engineered for restaurant-grade chip and crack resistance, with food-safe glazes that hold their depth through years of daily use. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

  • Our palette features six complementary glazes designed to work beautifully together. Mix colors freely to create a table that feels uniquely yours.

  • Myrth tableware is built for daily life — dishwasher and microwave safe, with exceptional durability. Over time, silverware may leave faint marks on the glaze surface. These are easily removed by gently buffing with a powdered cleanser like Bon Ami on a damp sponge or Scotch-Brite pad. Full care guide →

  • Our clay and glazes are formulated entirely in-house using standard ceramic minerals — never lead or cadmium, which you don't want in your dishes and we don't want to handle in the studio. Lead-free, food-safe glazes that stay vibrant for years.
