Ume Studio Edition: 5-Piece Place Setting

Sale Price: $194.00 Original Price: $216.00

Ume is our spring seasonal glaze, available through the end of July. A luminous pale chartreuse that sits right at the edge of yellow — the color of fresh-picked nanko-ume as they ripen. Named for the Japanese plum, made to order in our East Providence, Rhode Island studio. When the season ends, Ume retires. No restocks.

This is the full Myrth table in Ume. Five pieces per place: Dinner Plate (10.5"), Appetizer Plate (8"), Morsel Plate (6"), Tasting Bowl (6"), and your choice of everyday bowl — Basso Bowl or Helping Bowl. A vessel for every course, from bread plate to generous bowl to a full dinner plate. Save 10% compared to buying individually.

Choose the Basso Bowl if you love pasta, risotto, and anything saucy. At 9 inches, it's a shallow bowl-plate hybrid with a wide, flat base for plating and gently curved walls that keep sauces right where you want them. A favorite among chefs.

Choose the Helping Bowl if you reach for a deep, generous bowl most nights. At 8 inches and 32oz, it's built for ramen, grain bowls, and anything brothy.

Ume complements our six permanent glazes and was made to mix into an existing collection. Canyon's warm terracotta creates a striking contrast against Ume's cool fruit tone. Verdigris is its quieter companion, two greens that feel related rather than matched.

A full Ume table set for spring is a particular thing: asparagus, early stone fruit, the first strawberries, something just off the grill. This glaze was made for that meal.

Made to order, ships in approximately 3 to 4 weeks.

Ume is a Studio Edition glaze, separate from our six Core colors but made to work alongside them. Want to mix it into a core place setting? Just email us.

  • Every Myrth piece is crafted from proprietary clay and glaze recipes developed in-house. Our dense, low-expansion porcelain retains heat longer than standard ceramics — food stays warmer from kitchen to table. Engineered for restaurant-grade chip and crack resistance, with food-safe glazes that hold their depth through years of daily use. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

  • Our palette features six complementary glazes designed to work beautifully together. Mix colors freely to create a table that feels uniquely yours.

  • Myrth tableware is built for daily life — dishwasher and microwave safe, with exceptional durability. Over time, silverware may leave faint marks on the glaze surface. These are easily removed by gently buffing with a powdered cleanser like Bon Ami on a damp sponge or Scotch-Brite pad. Full care guide →

  • Our clay and glazes are formulated entirely in-house using standard ceramic minerals — never lead or cadmium, which you don't want in your dishes and we don't want to handle in the studio. Lead-free, food-safe glazes that stay vibrant for years.
