Joyful news: Myrth is moving!
We are overjoyed to announce Myrth will be moving to a new studio in East Providence Rhode Island in February!
Over the past year we have been on the hunt for a new larger home for Myrth as we are bursting at the seams in our current space (see below). This is a tremendously exciting time for Myrth and we are elated to begin the next phase of growth for our brand.
Our new studio gives us 8200 sq ft of production space (a big jump from 1000 sq ft) which will support our next phase of growth. We will be able to to increase our manufacturing capacity and further improve quality with new machinery (some already on order!), plus hire our first employees.
Eric and I are grateful for your support over the years as we grew Myrth in Somerville. Our time here was an important part of our journey. We honed our manufacturing model, continually improved the quality of our products, and most importantly forged great bonds with you all.
We are thrilled to be joining the small business community of Phillipsdale Landing in the Rumford neighborhood of East Providence, RI. We’ll be right next door to our good pals Lindquist Object.
In the near term our RI studio will be solely manufacturing focused. In place of our retail store we will set up a small appointment only showroom. Y’all are welcome to visit us any time! We have some ideas for how we’ll dip back into retail, likely with pop-ups or trunk shows in Boston & beyond to start (restaurant and shop owners we’d love to partner with you).
Important Dates + Changes
Dec 23 is the last day to place an order for made to order dinnerware if you want delivery by Jan 31. We will remain open for new MTO orders after 12/23 but lead times may be slightly longer.
Thru Jan 13 Myrth Shop is open regular hours. Tue - Thu by appointment, Fri + Sat 11-5.
Sat Jan 13 we will host a ‘So Long Somerville’ Studio Sale Event. This is the last day to shop in person. More details soon.
Jan 31 Myrth Somerville will close. All pick-up orders must be claimed by this date.
Jan 31 All current orders (mto, registry, trade, etc) will be shipped or delivered by this date.
Myrth online shop will remain open during the move and all in-stock items will ship with a slight delay (+5-10 biz days).
From 2/1 forward our new business address will be 310 Bourne Avenue, Building 14 1st, Rumford, RI 02916.
We will have a new studio grand opening in the spring and we’ll be share details on that later.
Shop pick-up will not be available in February and will resume in RI in March.
Made to Order production lead time (e.g. dinnerware sets) has increased to 8 weeks during our move.
